My favorite part of eating a meal.

I realized the other day that I'm always sad when dinner is over and I'm full of food. That may not be a problem for very many people. As I pondered that I realized that my favorite part of the meal is the middle. By then I have had a few yummy bites and I know that I have more to look forward to and enjoy. I also like to know there are leftovers. :)
On to dessert.... I also noticed that the best bites of dessert for me are the first two or three. After that the bites are no longer innocent. When many, many bites have been eaten, (and they frequently are) they do much more damage than they are worth. But those first few bites, priceless.

What motivates you to exercise?

I remember asking my sisters-in-law that years ago. They are so good at being consistent and they always look good.(duh.) They both replied that they love the shower afterwards and it feels good to be done. As I have gone in and out of my exercise intensity phases, I have often pondered that question. And the answer changes. Sometimes it was to be in good pregnancy shape, to lose baby pounds, to look good in the summertime in my swim suit, to keep fitting in my clothes. I came to another conclusion yesterday. My current motivation to exercise is because I like to eat the food I want.
I love my body shape when I'm working out regularly, it feels great, and I enjoy my workouts and push myself a lot. My un-working out body is fine too, I weigh about the same but I have less muscle definition, I get out of breath more often and to stay the same size I have to be careful of what I eat. So I've realized, and maybe this is just from aging a little bit, too, that if I want to eat anything I want and still look good, and fit into my clothes the way I like it, I have to workout.
I know I need to, and I'm not happy about it. But I'm getting back into my groove anyway!

Happy Easter, finally!

The boys love decorating easter eggs. We color them with crayons before we dip them and double dip them. Their favorite is to draw StarWars guys on them. David helps them and also does one that says Jesus Lives. And mine say David is HOT and I love Daddy.

While Adam and Peter admired theirs, Davey peeled his.

Here is the last clue in the Easter questions basket hunt. They have to answer questions about the events surrounding Jesus' death and resurrection correctly to find the next clues and eventually, their previously hidden baskets.

Ta-da!! They each got a book in their baskets this year. Adam's was a Fearsome Creatures (predators) Sticker Book. Peter's was a Spiderman coloring book and Davey's was a Thomas Train coloring book.

Next came the Easter egg gathering. David & I hid them all over the living room & sun room the night before, but they had to find their baskets before they could collect any eggs.

And to the victor goes the spoils!

Happy Easter, finally. Jesus Lives.
