Peter's Birthday

5 years ago, on Feb. 27th, at about 4:30pm, Peter Gatti Corless was born. He was 6 lbs, 7 oz. I was so excited to see that he looked like I did when I was born! He grew out of that a few weeks later. He had tight curly brown hair. It was so sweet. He was so quiet and good. He let us love on him. He let Adam touch him ALL over. From day one we put Peter and Adam in the same room.

Peter has been our lovey, huggie, touch me all over, sweet boy. He loves to compliment and get hugs and compliments in return. He is always telling me that I'm beautiful and that I'm the best mom ever.

He loves playing with Adam. He enjoys dinosaurs, StarWars (lightsaber fights, action figure super plots and battles), Superman (putting on his superman shirt and cape and flying around), and Transformers. He likes to color with markers and play with playdough.

He is very hands on. He is also left handed. He loves to be tickled and held.

He still has wave in his hair, but the curls are gone. Peter looks just like David did when he was growing up. Now he is 5 years old! And he'll start Kindergarten this fall.

It is a milestone for me. It's one thing when your oldest starts doing more grown-up things, like being in school. It's another to have Peter getting bigger and stepping out on his own a little bit.

He is a smart boy and is so excited to do 5 year old things, go to school, have a backpack, do real homework, have a teacher, ride the bus, start losing teeth!

Here are some pictures of him on his special day. He wanted a cake with Spiderman, so I did the buttercream frosting trick to get this one on.

We love Peter so much and are so glad that we get to have him in our family.

My Second Blog

Well, I completely forgot that I started this blog last year. According to my first entry, it was right before our move last summer. So, that memory got tucked away and left behind. I have been contemplating starting a blog for the last few months and look! I've saved myself the trouble.
I so love reading everyone's blogs and I hope mine can in some way contribute to your happiness as well.
I'm excited to get started!
